Power Consumption Reduction by Multilevel Sleep
A vibration sensor awakens the GPS-Receiver, when your object moves. The GPS-Receiver awakens the GSM-Modem and obtains the GPS-Coordinates in a pre-defined timeout. If the GPS can not be obtained after this time out, then the LBS-Position info will be sent.
External GPS and GSM antennas reduce the battery consumption and improve the reception even inside metal boxes. The system sends its own status (low battery, GPS defect, etc.) as well. The open system architecture eases integration to an existing infrastructure.
